Prescription Policy

Vale Veterinary Clinic stocks a wide range of prescription and non prescription drugs. The supply of prescription drugs is tightly controlled, and every prescription has to be authorised by a vet, so please give at least 24 hours notice when ordering repeat prescriptions.

Prescription drugs can be supplied only to animals “under the care of a vet”. In practice this means that your pet must have been examined by a vet in the last six months. For some conditions, more regular examination will be required. Anti-parasite prescription drugs for fleas, worms, ticks etc. can be supplied for pets that have been examined in the last twelve months.

Non prescription drugs and all diets can normally be supplied without an examination.
